Nor-Cal Beverage Co., Inc. is seeking Warehouse Technicians for
our Distribution Center in West Sacramento, California.
Hourly Rate Range: $16.90-$21.57 DOE
Medical benefits eligible first of the month following 28 days of
Position Summary: The Warehouse Technician position is responsible
for the timely, accurate loading of outbound shipments, as well as
the inbounding and putting away of finished goods. The Warehouse
Technician is also responsible for receiving, storing, maintaining,
and distributing material, tools and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all
Safely operate: electric and gas forklift, single and single/double
forklifts, pallet jack, baler and trash compactor.
Fuel gas forklifts as needed.
Charge electric forklift and fill battery with water as needed.
Load tractor trailers to include: inspecting trailers, loading
trailers using correct loading pattern, completing loading
documents and placing seal on truck.
Process damaged finished goods using established guidelines.
Receive and store products with allergens at designated location;
recognize and report allergen contamination.
Understand and follow customer truck loading procedures.
Use radio frequency (RF) scanning unit to: complete truck loading
process, perform location inquiry, unload and put away product from
shuttle trucks, and pre-stage orders.
Complete location inquiry via computer kiosk.
Pick orders manually or through multiple warehouse management
systems to retrieve product from specified locations in
Follow established pallet collapse handling guidelines to clean up
Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers,
co-workers, and management.
All other duties as assigned.
Regular and punctual attendance.
Safely operate pallet inverter and floor scrubber.
Understand and adhere to damaged goods receipt process.
Print receiving labels using warehouse management system.
Perform location transfers for product using radio frequency (RF)
Use warehouse management system to complete product bin to bin
Print pick tickets using warehouse management system.
Receive and put away stock in warehouse using warehouse management
Follow established product hold procedures to include: locating and
placing or removing tags on non-conforming product, placing product
in non-shippable/on hold status in warehouse management system,
documenting location of non-conforming product, and keeping
accurate count of acceptable product or product losses.
Setup, perform and reconcile a cycle count using the warehouse
Strong ability to work unsupervised.
Assist with training Warehouse Technicians.
Waive orders and confirm shipments in warehouse management
Check-in drivers using warehouse management system.
Strong problem solving skills.
Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written
instructions or other information.
Follow policies and procedures.
Use equipment and materials properly.
Adapt to changes in the work environment.
Demonstrated ability to meet productivity standards.
Observe safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe
Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide and to
record, balance, and check for accuracy.
Good written and verbal communication skills with excellent
interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate
professionally with customers and co-workers.
Have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently as well
as working in a team.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.)
Three months related experience and/or training
Or, equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be computer literate and proficient in math
Single and double forklift certification.
Language Skills: English is required.
