Work with our team and help increase affordable homeownership in rural communities across the West through the USDA Self-Help program in which lower income families help build their own homes.-- As RCAC's Rural Development Specialist, Self - Help, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:Work with local partners to identify organizational and programmatic strengths and weaknesses and conduct compliance reviewsDevelop detailed work plans and follow-up to ensure work is completed in a timely matterDeliver direct technical assistance and services to local partners, and coordinate with other RCAC staff as neededMaintain good communications with funding agencies and secure necessary concurrence for agency work plansDeliver technical training at various conferences, institutes, and workshops and via webinarsParticipate in rural development networks and associationsRemain current on applicable government regulations and policies and comment on the impact of proposed regulations and policiesPrepare written reports, document activities, respond to inquiries and assignments within short time framesThe preferred locations for the position are the Western United States.RCAC employees are federally mandated to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment, subject to reasonable accommodation as required by law.RCAC is an equal opportunity employer and considers all employees and job applicants without regard to race, religion, color, gender, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or marital status, or any other status protected by the law.
