Accounts Payable Specialist (West Sacramento, CA) We are a specialty subcontractor looking to hire a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. You will need to be self motivated, with the ability to handle a fast paced working environment and a sense of urgency. Must have 1-2 years of office experience.The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for assisting with a full cycle vendor payable process and other administrative duties to assist the accounting team. This person is a team player and has a high degree of willingness to support various functions of the company when needed. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities: Answer and direct phone calls Receive and price check material vendor invoices to quoted/established prices Obtain proper approval and verify against approved purchase orders Enter invoice data into the company's accounting system for job costing and GL posting Reconcile monthly vendor statements to ensure accuracy Gather and organize supporting documents for invoices, such as signed packing slips Communicate with vendor contacts for credits, payment status, and other issues Maintain all A/P and credit card files Maintain an excellent relationship with vendor partners, subcontractors and customers Obtain, monitor and send vendor lien releases for projects Filing, scanning, and other duties as assigned The Must Haves: You must be able to work with confidential information with tact and discretion Good verbal and written communications skills Computer skills - You must know how to use Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
