Job Description:
What You Will DoAs an Employee Relations Specialist (Team Member
Relations Specialist), you will serve as a trusted advisor to teams
and individuals to ensure our organization's treatment of team
members is fair, respectful and consistent with our Company values
and business objectives. You will be responsive to a range of HR
matters from routine to difficult employee relations issues
including highly sensitive and time critical workplace
investigations, consultations with team members and leaders, and
responding to potential union activity. You will also have an
opportunity to serve as a partner with multiple store locations and
districts and has regular travel to locations. How You will Make a
Difference
- You will exercise excellent judgement to accurately assess
situations and diagnose problems and resolve conflict.
- You will demonstrate strong influencing skills and diffuse
emotional situations and individuals.
- You will communicate effectively, both verbally and in
writing.

- You will demonstrate time management and prioritization skills
to balance time between crisis-response and routine matters.
- You will investigate complex HR issues, including: conducting
claimant, witness, and accused employee interviews; analyzing data
from various internal systems; composing investigation reports;
proposing remedial action based on investigation findings.
- You will consult and collaborate with business partners, and
Legal teams on routine to difficult employee investigations and
requests for information.
- You will communicate with team members and provide advocacy or
coaching support to help them resolve standard workplace concerns
and teamwork issues.
- You will follow up with team member concerns received from all
communication platforms and documents issues and resolution, as
appropriate.
- You will advise leaders on team member performance and conduct
issues and coaches on handling and preparation of disciplinary
actions.
- You will gather and prepare evidence, documents and information
and serves as Company representative in union grievance, sexual
harassment review board and unemployment hearings.
- You will provide timely, complete information, as needed, to
unemployment claims administrator.
- You will identify witnesses and coordinate their preparation
and participation at in-person and virtual hearings.
- You will analyze casework trends to produce strategic,
proactive recommendations to HR and the business to proactively
address and mitigate systemic issues.
- You will maintain various tracking logs for internal and
external purposes such as EEOC reports, union matters, and internal
studies.
- You will participate in analysis and revision of people
programs, policies, and practice to sustain a positive work
environment for Raley's team members.Who You Are

legal regulations and requirements related to human resources
including EEO, ADA/FLMA, Workers' Compensation, and wage &
hour.

YOU: You're a team player and bring your unique perspective to the
table. Must Haves
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. 5+ years or more of experience in
employee relations or other human resource experience or the
equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Some
college in relevant field is preferred.
- Five (5+) or more years of experience with employee complaint
investigation including discrimination and harassment complaint
handling as well as involuntary termination handling.
- Experience in business or in retail industry and multi-unit is
preferred.
- Certification desirable: PHR, SHRM-CP or other HR certification
with emphasis on employment and labor law.
- General knowledge of regulatory and contract requirements in
area of specialty.
