Job Description:

General Position Summary:This position is responsible for managing 2nd shift (2:30-11pm)+ operation and monitoring performance throughout the shift including setup, break/Lunch time, and transition to sanitation. Also recommending improvements in manufacturing methods and practices. Working with Maintenance, QC, HR/Safety and Sanitation departments for procedures and performance.Essential Job FunctionsOperation Management and Supervising:Participates in the interviewing and hiring of production crews.Supports in transition of processing to sanitation.Identifies training needs and facilitates the needed training for production crews.Takes an inventory of materials and finished goods, and sees if there are enough materials for daily production while staging.Participates safety training, keep up to date documentation for production team members and Chemical Right to Know/SDS training periodically and documents for plant with HR/Safety department.Follows a production schedule and works with production leads and sanitation supervisor to manage time.Trains crew for how to handle production equipment with Maintenance department.Summarizes paperwork and any issues in daily production and report to VP.Notify- to Maintenance department for a machinery issue/ concern- to QC department for a quality issue/concern- to HR/ safety department for a HR/Safety issue/ concernTake leads on Good Manufacturing Practices.Monitors PPEs worn during cleaning to avoid injuries.Monitors if employees are following correct procedures and recipes.Supports positions where assist are needed during production with leads.Other & Miscellaneous:Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager and other senior management.Maintain high ethical standards in the work place.Reports all irregular issues and problems to management for solution.Maintains good communication with other managers, staffs and outside contacts.Complies with all company policies and procedures.Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.Job Dimensions (skills, knowledge and abilities):Accuracy, Attendance & Punctuality, Attention to Detail, Communication (Speaking, Reading, Writing) in English, Delegation, Dependability/Reliability, Employee Development, Flexibility/Adaptability, Initiative/Follow Through, Judgment, Leadership, Listening & Understanding, Math skills: Basic, Monitoring/Control, Multi-Tasking, Office Equipment Usage, Planning & Organizing, Personal Computer Usage, Presentation, Problem Solving, Product knowledge, Relationship Building, Research, Team Leading, Team Participation, Time Management.QualificationsEducation and Work Experience:Three to five years of previous related work experience in Food Manufacturing- Production and SanitationThree years of experience in supervision/ management.Being flexible in working hours.Tools and Equipment:General office equipment including phones, fax, copier, calculator, personal computer, scanner, etc..Software includes the use of Windows operating system, MS Office applications, etc..Forklift, electric pallet jacks, packing machine, scales, blending and processing equipment and machines, hoist, etc..Safety googles, gloves, earplugs. rubber boots. lab coat, dust mask and hair net.Certificates/Licenses:Forklift operation trained in house.Driver's license''Work Remotely * NoJob Type: Full-timePay: $64,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
