One of our direct client is urgently looking for a Software Engineer @ Sunnyvale, CA TITLE: Software Engineer - Java/Cloud LOCATION: Sunnyvale, CA Duration: 6 to 12 Months Rate: DOE Notes - Local candidate are preferred as candidates may need to come to office once a week Description Build n-tier highly scalable, fault tolerant, reactive Microservices using Java/Scala, AKKA and RESTful architecture for Walmart Omni platforms Design/Develop Applications in No-SQL database such Cassandra, ScyllaDB ,YugaByteDB and Azure Cosmos DB Walmart ecommerce platform using Open Source Technologies like Akka-Http, Apache Camel, Apache Drools, Rest/Grpc Webservices. Work with application team to migrate from virtual machines to containers, using Kubernetes and CI/CD. Work with platform and application to optimize platform utilization. Experience with deploying web apps to cloud infrastructure (Azure, GCP) and working with distributed, service-oriented architecture. Focus on continuously improving the DevOps tooling and software delivery processes Deep dive into learning and understanding the mechanism (Research) of every application component, and promoting product scalability, stability, and performance. Build high throughput data pipelines using Apache Kafka that enable sophisticated Catalog Azure/GCP Data Lake and ensure that all data transmission is secured and protected Lead the Migration of Entire Legacy Catalog Services to Cutting Edge next generation Reactive Microsystems using Akka-Http,Akka Streams, which are deployed in Kubernetes Ecosystem in Public Cloud like Google GCP and Microsoft Azure Understand the basics of the machine learning lifecycle and can build solutions to enable data scientists to iterate on machine learning applications and ultimately deploy them at scale in productions Lead the development of applications which can be leveraged in web and mobile media Utilize Data structure and Algorithmic skills to Develop data mining patterns for deriving meaningful insights from terra bytes of data Utilize Industry Research and Innovation to build Next Generation systems to Improve Walmart Technology Environment. Design and develop service-oriented (SOA) architectures-based modular applications for Design and Build Big Data platforms using Hortonworks, Cloudera CDH, Apache Hadoop as a Data Storage and processing systems using Apache Spark and Presto Analytics Engine Directs root cause analysis of critical business and production issues by reviewing and analyzing information Design, Architect cloud native, distributed, high performant and scalable microservices for Walmart grocery Ecosystem Interact and coordinate with the team at different geographical locations for development rollout new features and issue resolution
