Job Description:
Minimum qualifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent practical
experience. 8 years of experience in software development. 5 years
of experience testing and launching software products. 5 years of
experience with full-stack development across the back end such as
Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases and front-end experience,
including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, or equivalent. 3 years
of experience with software design and architecture. Preferred
qualifications: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer
Science, or a related technical field. 8 years of experience with
data structures and algorithms. 3 years of experience in a
technical leadership role leading project teams and setting
technical direction. 3 years of experience working in a complex,
matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business

technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines,

and enhance software solutions. The Scaled Solutions team within
Google User and Products (gUP) Engineering focuses on designing,
building, and maintaining technology platforms and tools that
enable the gUP organization to deliver support and operations
efficiently and effectively across a wide array of products and
user bases. By developing these scalable platforms and services, we
empower gUP to provide high-quality support experiences to millions
of users and partners globally while also improving internal
operational efficiency. We collaborate closely with product
management, UX, other gUP engineering teams, and various
operational and product vertical teams to identify opportunities
and deliver impactful, far-reaching technology solutions. In gTech
Users and Products (gUP), our mission is to advocate for Google’s
users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the
product ecosystem. We achieve this by meeting partners and
consumers where they are with support and help, representing their
needs with our product partners and proposing fixes and features
that elevate their engagement with Googles diverse product
ecosystem. Additionally we provide a range of product services that
ensure our products are optimized for every user, no matter where
they are in the world (e.g., localization, digitization, partner
integration and more). The US base salary range for this full-time
position is $207,000-$300,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary
ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the
range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional
factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant

Responsibilities Drive the architectural vision and lead the design
of complex, scalable, and reliable systems and features critical to
gUPs support platforms and operational tools. Address the most
challenging technical problems, often with ambiguous requirements,
delivering innovative and robust solutions that provide significant
business value. Lead the implementation and delivery of
large-scale, multi-faceted engineering projects, ensuring high
standards of code quality, testing, and operational excellence.
Provide technical leadership and influence across multiple teams;
collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to align on
technical strategy and direction. Mentor other engineers, foster a
culture of technical excellence, and promote best practices in
software development, system design, and reliability.
