partnership, trusted advice, support and facilitation to managers
across a generalist spectrum of human resources disciplines. In
doing this, Business Partners are generous with their time, curious
and deeply involved in their portfolios and across the
business.This role has dual responsibility for providing strategic
people support and solutions for allocated business areas and local
operational support with frontline HR issues. The People &
Organization team work in true partnership with the business to
enable our people to attract, retain and engage talent. TOMRA's US
Food headquarters in based out of our West Sacramento, California

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Partnering
- Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of your allocated
business areas; their business objectives, challenges, risks and
people related indicators
- Partner with your business areas to ensure the provision of
timely, consistent coaching, advice, and support on all aspects of
HR to our people leaders. This includes performance management,
talent acquisition, on-boarding, employee engagement, compensation
and benefits, development planning and change management
- Enable a positive, proactive approach to our People and their
experience with TOMRA Food
- Determine how the P&O function can support the business in
being successful with an eye to the medium and long term
future
- Problem solve and recommend solutions leveraging your
experience, insights and access to knowledge to support your
business areas
- Work closely with your business area managers and other team
members to continually analyze, prioritize, and respond to the
businesses people and capability needs to assist in the delivery of
business outcomes
- Participate in business planning processes for relevant
divisions or teams where required
- Provide general advice and support directly to local employees
on some HR issues e.g., leave balances, interpretation of policies
and general queries and actions requests where appropriate
- Ensure a long term, sustainable solution focused approach is
taken to all P&O matters, always endeavoring to enable the
business to be at its best
- Ensure compliance, support and adherence to all local benefits
administrationWorkforce Planning
- Work with the employee experience team to design and deliver
relevant and practical people solutions to support the
business
- Actively facilitate and encourage managers to complete
requirements for people related processes and ensure practices are
adopted consistently throughout the business
- Act as an internal specialist in supporting some people-related
projects or facilitating internal training
- Carry out People & Organization plans, strategies, and
initiatives under the guidance of leadership
- Support managers to communicate, regulate and maintain the
organization's culture, Code of Conduct, and valuesGlobal Focus
- Take responsibility for leading or supporting People &
Organization projects to contribute to the development of global
programs, templates, tools, and frameworks
- Partner with People & Organization team members worldwide to
ensure alignment of support and decision making with other
locations worldwide
- Provide overflow resource support to People & Organization team
members in other regions as requiredHealth & SafetyComply with all

Key Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or
similar
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in an Advisor/Business
Partnering role or similar
- Experience in designing and delivering change and other
people-related processes
- Excellent knowledge of local employment legislation
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport, drivers'
license and be able to travel
- Experience working respectfully in an open plan office
environment, with a fun, sometimes noisy team
- Comfort visiting manufacturing and packhouse environments, if
required
- Strong demonstrated ability to build relationships and
influence at different levels across the business
- Strong influencing skills, with the ability to achieve the
right outcome to the business in win-win scenarios
- Good time management skills, both in planning and ongoing
adjustments
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity and shifting deadlines
- Ability to be resilient and push-back when required
- Ability to write policies, guidelines and other internal
communications
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to
questions from across the business.
- Good Microsoft Office suite skills, with experience in
Smartsheets beneficial
- Confidence to ask a lot of questions to develop and execute a
plan without hand holding
- Naturally curious, opinionated, and not shy to share their
opinion
- Have sound judgement and alignment to our P&O and wider
TOMRA Food culture
- Naturally pragmatic to ensure you see challenges through to
completion
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources
or related business field with five years' experience in the HR
field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources
administration, specifically including recruitment, onboarding,
terminations, policy review and maintenance and HRIS
administration.
- Ability to work independently and partner with the
Sacramento-based Regional Director of People.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent
interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to work in a fast pace and constantly changing
environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, HCM/HRIS and payroll
systems.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to bend and kneel as required
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass criminal background check.
