Summary: A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), also known as a Speech Therapist, is a healthcare professional who evaluates, diagnoses, and treats speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages. They develop individualized therapy plans to improve communication skills, swallowing function, and overall quality of life. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Assess cognitive-communication skills and oral-motor functions. Use standardized tests and clinical observations to diagnose communication and swallowing disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
