We prioritize collaboration, innovation, and client education to ensure optimal outcomes for every patient. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site position based in San Mateo, CA. As an Emergency Veterinarian at Lenity Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Care, you will provide urgent and emergency medical treatment to a diverse range of animal patients. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and treating injuries and illnesses, conducting medical procedures, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and maintaining clear communication with pet owners regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and ongoing care recommendations. You will also contribute to maintaining high clinical standards and a supportive team environment. Qualifications Strong diagnostic, and clinical skills, with a focus on emergency veterinary medicine Excellent communication and client education skills to collaborate effectively with pet owners and team members Ability to make urgent and sound medical decisions in high-pressure situations Strong organizational and time management skills to address multiple cases efficiently Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent and valid veterinary license to practice in California Experience in an emergency or critical care setting is highly preferred Commitment to animal welfare and continuous professional development
