Job Description:

Position DescriptionThe Commercial Loan Closing Manager provides leadership, oversight, and strategic management for the Loan Fund Closing unit to ensure all areas of the department are operating soundly and efficiently by providing excellent customer service, maintaining strong relationships with customers and third-party vendors and resulting in repeat customers. As a supervisor, the Commercial Loan Closing Manager monitors and guides direct reports using operating performance metrics and standards for quality and timely customer service. This position also oversees report preparations for internal departments and external agencies; recommends solutions to resolve complex loan closings structures; establishes processes and procedures to maintain the accuracy and completeness of required documents; and works on long-term projects and goals as directed by the Loan Fund Director to meet the objectives of the organization.Specific job goals, objectives and tasks are established for each employee as part of the annual evaluation process. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Hire, train, supervise, and guide the closing unit to help improve their efficiency and customer service.
  • Work closely with the credit officer and production team to ensure compliance with loan fund policies and procedures.
  • Attend all loan committee meetings.
  • Oversee the preparation of commitment letters and closing documents.
  • Analyze any relevant title or escrow to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Oversee timely funding of new projects.
  • Review and acknowledge loan boarding documents are accurate and ready for submission to the loan servicing unit.
  • Schedule and coordinate monthly pipeline reports with closing staff.
  • Manage and supervise complicated reporting, loan fund spreadsheets, and reconciling activities.
  • Recommend feasible solutions to resolve existing problems and facilitate implementation of same.
  • Coordinate with the finance department as needed.
  • Communicate and coordinate, with the Loan Servicing Manager to ensure the department is running efficiently and accurately.Skills and Qualifications
    • Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office Suite
    • English language, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
    • Provide an exceptional level of customer service
    • Take initiative to troubleshoot and solve problems
    • Organize and prioritize work to meet established timelines
    • Effectively listen and communicate both verbally and in writing
    • Work independently and within a team environment
    • Demonstrate comfort working with a diverse range of individuals
    • Supervise and guide staff in the daily operations of the department
    • Ability to produce Loan Servicing Reports for management review
    • Ability to follow Loan Fund Policies and Procedures
    • Ability to develop procedures and processes

      Work performed in an office requires the ability to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment, including telephone. Use may be moderate (average two hours per day) to heavy (four or more hours per day)

      While performing this position's duties, the employee is frequently required to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods of time; walk; talk; hear; use hand to finger; handle; feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

      The employee may occasionally lift and or move up to twenty-five pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

      This position also requires moderate (up to two days per month) to heavy (up to 10 days per month) automobile and airline travel, including overnight travel.

      Preferred Education and Experience:

      A combination of experience and education is necessary to qualify for the position. A typical qualifying combination would be:

      Experience:Experience:Three years of applicable experience in jobs that have included word processing and a variety of administrative duties (education may be substituted for the experience).
      Education:
