The position will be responsible for selling products and services as well as providing technical assistance to customers. The Sales Manager will work directly with our dispatch team to help improve communications between the customer and dispatch to ensure services are provided timely. Help with growing existing and prospective customers to increase market share and improving profit margins.Prepare proposals, quotes, contracts, or presentations for potential ready mix customers.Provide customers with information such as quotes, orders, sales, shipping, warranties, credit, funding options, incentives, or tax rebates.Gather information from prospective customers to identify their needs.Provide technical information about emulsion, equipment, additives and services to potential customers or dealers.Proven customer service, public speaking and presentation skills.Ability to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.Take quote requests or orders from dealers or customers.Ability to effectively manage and prioritize their schedule.Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information.Develop marketing or strategic plans for sales territories.Understanding of plant operations, controls, dispatch, and plant production systems.Targeting and acquiring new accounts and maintaining existing accounts by strengthening customer relationships.Excellent mathematic and accounting skills.Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent, one to two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.5 plus years of experience in outside construction sales. 3 plus years of experience in the emulsion related industryStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel.
