you meet the following requirements as listed below.
Santa Clara, CA - Onsite
2-month contract, with possibility of extension
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Validation Engineer to
lead the testing and validation of semiconductor components, data
center hardware, and GPUs. This role requires deep expertise in
designing, executing, and analyzing validation tests, as well as
hands-on experience with Python scripting for test automation and
software testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will play a
critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and
functionality of cutting-edge hardware and software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Hardware Validation: Develop and execute validation test plans for
semiconductor components, data center hardware, and GPUs, ensuring
they meet performance, reliability, and compliance standards.
Perform power, thermal, and stress testing, as well as functional
validation across different hardware configurations. Debug and
analyze hardware failures, working with cross-functional teams to
identify root causes and drive resolutions. Use lab equipment
(oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, PCIe analyzers, etc.) to
troubleshoot issues and validate signals.
Software & Automation Testing: Write and execute Python scripts to
automate test execution, data collection, and analysis. Develop
software validation tests to ensure driver, firmware, and
system-level compatibility with hardware. Analyze system logs and
software performance, debugging issues related to firmware, OS, or
drivers. Collaborate with software engineers to validate
interoperability between hardware components and software
stacks.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze test data to identify trends,
anomalies, and performance bottlenecks. Generate reports and
present validation results, ensuring clear communication of
findings and recommendations. Work with design and manufacturing
teams to implement test improvements and optimize system
validation.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or
a related field. 7+ years of experience in hardware validation,
system-level testing, and software validation. Expertise in
designing and executing validation tests for chips, data center
hardware, and GPUs. Strong proficiency in Python scripting for test
automation and data analysis. Experience with software validation,
including driver, firmware, and OS compatibility testing. Hands-on
experience with hardware validation tools (oscilloscopes, logic
analyzers, PCIe analyzers, etc.). Deep understanding of system
architectures, including CPU-GPU interactions, memory subsystems,
and high-speed interconnects. Strong debugging and problem-solving
skills, both at the hardware and software level.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in data center
environments or high-performance computing applications.
Familiarity with machine learning workloads and their impact on
hardware and software validation. Knowledge of Linux environments,
scripting, and system performance profiling tools. Experience with
DFx methodologies, failure analysis, and post-silicon bring-up.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated testing frameworks for
hardware-software validation.
Pay Summary:
Pay rate up to $65/hr W2, depending on experience.
