The Front Office Supervisor works under the direction of the Clinic Manager to maintain cohesiveness of the Medical clinics front office operations and to provide quality customer service to patients. This person is responsible for oversight of Front Office staff. They assist reception staff in education patients about the various health care coverage programs made available to clients seeking medical services at the clinic. CommuniCare Health Centers mission emphasizes nonjudgmental care, preventive care, health education and community referrals to address the broad spectrum of health and lifestyle concerns of clients served.
SCHEDULE:40 hours per week, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday Friday. An occasional evening may be required. Primary site and shift at Salud Clinic in West Sacramento. May be asked to fill in at the Hansen Clinic in Woodland or Davis Community Clinic in West Sacramento.

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: BA/BS degree or one year experience in a medical office, hospital or clinic.
Experience: Supervisory or customer experience in a medical office, hospital or clinic preferred. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team. Demonstrated commitment to high quality health care for low income, multicultural populations.
Special Skills/Equipment: Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Computer word processing experience preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a culturally diverse environment. Must provide proof of current drivers license and auto insurance.
Expectations: Attendance and punctuality is necessary. Ability to work well with a multidisciplinary team. Ability to problem solve, and be self-motivated. Must have a commitment to excellence and high standards. Must have excellent written and oral skills, strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills. Must have ability to manage priorities and workflow. Required to have versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and have acute attention to detail. Expected to have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to understand and follow written/verbal instructions. Able to work independently with little or no supervision. Required to have the ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels and with external customers.
Physical Requirements: Ability to operate office equipment, including computer equipment; ability to bend and lift up to 25 pounds; hearing is required. Ability to bend and move hands and arms with sufficient range of motion to complete data entry. Prolonged standing and occasional sitting required. Ability to bend, kneel, lift and twist as needed.
