Novate Solution's Inc. is an Industrial Technology Services firm with 20+ years of providing professional engineering design, turnkey project implementation, and support services for the technology that runs industrial manufacturing facilities. Most of our clients are large scale, industrial facilities that rely on us for our expertise, high-quality implementation of process control systems, information software, instrumentation, industrial networks, SCADA, inspection, motion, and state-of-the-art Industry 4.0 technologies.

Novate is a business-to-business corporation, that primarily provides industrial plant services to large corporations. We also engage in selective work with large scale industrial contractors, government agencies and mid-sized food and beverage producers. The Novate team prides ourselves on professional level engagement at every level, including communications with vendors and clients.

Summary:

The Controller is part of the executive management team and reports directly to the CEO for the company. Novate Solutions is currently projecting a repaid growth rate. The Controller is responsible for all financial, payroll, insurance, compliance, and general corporate administrative matters.

The Controller role consists of leading a small team of 2 to 3 people, with additional duties of overseeing procurement, invoicing, and general accounting. The Controller shall self-manage their time and will complete responsibilities, coordinate with staff, and manage direct reports. Routine tasks are self-managed from the list of responsibilities noted below.

This position has strong potential to evolve into a CFO position for the right candidate. We are looking for a positive and dedicated individual who shares our core values.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

--- Oversee daily bookkeeping tasks including AR, AP, reconciling and cashflow management

--- Manage Procurement, Administration, and Accounting team members

--- Cashflow Analysis and Forecasting

--- Oversee payroll and human resources financial elements

--- Assisting and directing procurement with terms accounts and purchasing sequences

--- Maintain corporate financial reporting, and tax filings with external CPA/EA

--- Tax processing associated with Federal, State and Local taxes

--- Insurance portfolio management for all corporate liabilities and assets

--- Maintain company fixed assets records and record depreciation expense

--- Oversee company capital purchases

--- Participate in and lead executive team financial meetings

--- Other various tasks associated with small corporation business

Experience and Skills:

--- 10 years of recent accounting experience

--- Working knowledge of project-based and service business operations

--- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

--- Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

--- Strong leadership and communication skills

--- General knowledge of business, and corporate taxes, including multi-state sales taxes

--- Proficient with Excel and QuickBooks Advanced Online

--- Keyboarding 35wpm corrected, or greater

--- 10-Key 8,000kph corrected, or greater

Education: BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required, (CPA/MBA/CMA preferred)

License/Certifications:

--- Valid CA driver's license
